I'm still alive, seriously.
The past week or so off from college has definitely been nice. I can't tell you how many brain cells I've fried since last Friday, but I can tell you I've had a fucking blast going from party to party, meeting up with many different faces - both old & new, and "rejuvenation" isn't just another word anymore.
I've never really been a big fan of going to parties where I know either no one or one or two people, and I've never really been a big fan of themed parties - but I decided to repress my prejudices and jumped at the opportunity when an old jam-mate and good friend invited me to his girlfriend's 80's themed birthday party. Beer, bud, and girls were promised and delivered, so no complaints here. Throw in a few new friends and political and philosophical discussion with a side of hearty laughter and post-partying diner rendevouz and you've got a happy me.
That's just one of the many get togethers I hit up, I don't even know what to say about the others haha. Illegal, illegal, illegal.
Aside from partying, I met up with one of my good friends who now resides in Montreal and attends McGill University up there... a very, very good friend of mine. He brought down a new face - apparently Swiss royalty, but what's that s'posedta mean to me anyways, right? :snickers: Anyways, we had a fucking blast just driving around, telling jokes, and reminding ourselves why we're better than most of Long Island's population. It's hard to be modest when you know it's true, seriously.
It's that time again, y'know, when I list out a bunch of items I need to waste money on. I've spent the past two nights painting in my room, what a grueling task. In preparation for the change, and to combat the stylistic procrastination I've had in terms of furniture - my parents and I've collaborated funds and are pretty much redoing my entire room. I've gotten a new TV unit and a new wardrobe.. and I'm awaiting the arrival of my new futon and computer desk. It's honestly about time I got around to changing things, my shit was way too bulky for the space allotted and now that things will be proportionate - there'll be a lot more room to chill and I hope to create a nice haven for my stoner self.
