This weeks blog homework for sg's sweet 16. So here we go. @missy @rambo
First off i struggled to find any photos because a while ago my old computer crashed hard and I lost all of my old photos so I now only have what's on my Facebook. And wow these photos are embarrassing.
When I was 16 I was so weird and just craved to be a MySpace goth girl like most of us alternatives did.
But I use to talk my friends into taking photos of me and I would dress up and do my makeup and play model. Thinking back now it makes sence considering how I am now but back then I never thought into it.
I've always had to be the centre of attention and 16 is when I really took an interest in drama at my school.
I remember we did a play called "shadows of wonderland" which was a take of Alice in wonderland (duh) except it took place inside Alice's mind while she was in an institute after killing her husband. (Deep for high school I know haha) and lucky me scored the lead role.
I auditioned with a monologue from Macbeth and nailed. I went on to memorise the ENTIRE script and well completely took charge of everything. I helped coragraph dances, made props and blocked sets, set design, helped with all the hair and makeup on the night aswell as making promotional posters and tickets and distributed them.
I think that's where my love of directing came from and my need to do it all my self.
I still remember opening night and my friends from cullanary class had to cook us all dinner and I thought it was funny because they had to wait on me.
But I still look back at that play as one of the best highlights of my life.
After that I was going to be a star, an actor.
Obviously that never happened haha. I discovered that I'd much rather be behind the scenes than on the stage.
Now I know that wasn't a very exciting story because honestly I don't remember a whole lot from back then. So to make it up to you all. I have supplied a few super embarrassing photos of me when I was around 16-17. Enjoy hahah.
