Is the wisdom the ablity to not deceive yourself, or know that you are deceiving yourself.
I was recently presented with a choice. I believe I made the wrong choice. I intial reaction was to deline the offer presented before me, but after much debate I allowed myself to be talked into accepting the offer. The reason was simple, I thougt that by doing so I could please someone else. After making my choice I was perpeared to follow through with results where ever they may have led. It turns the correct choice would be thrust upon me, when the offer was retracted due to circumstances beyond my control. I feel some relief now, but I owe reperations for curtness that followed.
What is the point of all this you may ask, and what does it have to do with self deception? I am not a wise man, but I would like to try to acquire the humble beginings of wisdom, to that end I wonder which is the correct path. To never be deceived, or to be aware of it so that you might anticpate how it affects judgment? I deceived myself into thinking I wanted something that really didn't matter. Because of that I may have damaged something that did.
My quest for wisdom should begin witha question I think. What fools are we?

i have done it so many times. in fact quite recently. the rumble of the truism of my soul came up and hit me so i knew what the right thing for me was.
though i feared what it would do to the other person, i had to be true to myself. but before my deep depths shook me, i did not know what that was.
If you learned something from the past, why repeat it again, unless you can change the path by doing so...right?
Agggghh..I'm such a simple person, I ususally don't deceive myself at all usually...I can be real dumb and not think before my action or say sometimes..though I never regret my past or present because I always learn things by experiences..
aggghh..just rambling..don't mind me..
