My "Retail Hell" (TM Luci Sg) of the xmas season now over, I can kick back and simply enjoy the weekend with friends. I will admit, working in a drugstore gives me a jaded view of the season. But last night I got a reminder of what this season is really all about... in the sparkling delight in a child's eyes.
The Solstice marks the return of the nurturing light. Christmas celebrates the light made flesh... a light no more evident, than in this child's eyes. It is in this, that lay the magic of the season.
