I've been bummed that I've spend the last year wandering aimlessly around unsure of what I want to do. I tried law school, and it didn't come delivered as promised, how any place can issue 8 hours worth of reading per day plus lectures and call it part-time I'll never know. But as time moves forward methods of delivery for information get bigger. I've decided to pursue a Master's degree in Network Security. My classes start in October and I'm enthusiastic about going. I also am taking a Cisco class through Yuba College, and I'm hopeful that their instruction isn't as incompetent as their administration. Either way, I have the books and no problem learning what I have to learn on my own.
In my new job I'll be in charge of intrusion detection and logging network traffic. Once again I'll get a degree that closely links what I'm doing to what I'm learning. I'm optimistic that I'll soon be teaching online classes of my own.
