PEACHES
!
Electrocutie opened - like two 17 year old germanic ho's with very very thin lil bodies - lythe yet a bit clumsy - I liked their songs. The brunette reminded me so much of Karen from the YeahYeahYeah's both in how she looked and the way she sang and moved - but Karen's better...
Ok, then PEACHES tore us all a new hole with her wild act!! The hot leggy tranny backup dancers could easily touch the ceiling and loomed over her - she was tiny but like Prince or Iggy Pop, she was giant in impact. great dance moves - the entire show was choriographedd even down to how her many wierdly shaped 1980's guitars were brought on and taken off her sweating writhing body - she had a wacky mullet and hot pink makeup, wore WHITE leather and B&W 80's mime leotards, stripping down when overheated to her black bra and pink short shorts, glasses and spiked white leatherboots, etc etc many costume changes, a *great* duet with IggyPop entering as a projection (felt like he was really there with her - you have to see this to fully get it) The music ranged from electro to rapping (yes, she's totally got flow) to rock and roll to punk rock thrash ass.
I think it was one of the best shows I have ever seen in my life - she's a true performance artist -
now I feel TOTALLY INSPIRED!
