I freaked out today when I saw an ad in the paper for the suicidegirls live tour, because I'd been meaning to get tickets for ages, and kept going, when i get paid... THEN when I got on the train, there was one saying hurry, only 50 tickets left. That was even worse. So i bolted home and got online and booked tickets, and the hifi bar website said it would send me an email to confirm whether there were tickets left etc. Luckily it did, because I think I would have cried if there weren't. Or I'd have to go to Adelaide or something for it, like we had to do for Greenday a year ago when Melbourne sold out.
Now my boy just has to get off work early and I will be very happy...at least until monday morning when I have to go to uni.
I did some painting today...which is always fun, but results in horrible grade-2-style crap, because painting isnt really my thing. Still, it's relaxing, though I think that I still manage to get more on me that on the canvas. Was a bitch to scrub off my skin. Ah well.
Am I the only person in Australia NOT counting down the days til the Commonwealth Games? All I care about is the gymnastics. Screw the rest. Apparently there are tickets available for everything except Synchronised Swimming. Explain that to me, that synchronised swimming a) counts as a sport and b) is remotely interesting?! I'm confused. Still, looking forward to them being over because I predict that my trains are going to be uncomfortably crowded, and seeing as I'll still have to pay for my ticket, I'm getting a seat! Unless you're really really old or crippled or otherwise deformed, too damn bad. You want to sit down? Pay for it!
