So I plan on seeing the Pixies in September during Bumbershoot (The Seattle Music festival over labor day weekend).
The question I have to ask myself is do I want to be with anyone. I could go alone and just lose myself in the crowd and nastalgia, I could band together with friends, or I could bring along my children and share their experiences.
I may have mentioned that two years ago, I took my youngest son (5 at the time) to Bumbershoot and he got to dance along with Ani Defranco, Concrete Blonde, and Lou Reed!
He loved Concrete Blonde and had so much fun dancing that he was oblivious to the crowd that had gathered around him. He'ld only stop to get a drink of water and then he'ld be at it again. Damn that was a good time.
The first time I took my daughter to a show, was while I was working in a youth bar. We booked a band called the Kittens for Christian, that was fronted by Fate Fatal of The Deep Eynde at the time. She didn't care much for the blood caked wedding dress he wore, but to this day (eight years later) talks about the cool guy who wore feathers matted into his hair with makeup.
Course now when we see the guys from The Deep Eynde she pays attention to the drummer Hal Satan, who's also with Penis Flytrap
La la la, love you

Hmm. Who are the sisters of perpetual indulgence? The one in your pics is interesting. I'd love to know more.
