So, I live in northern michigan and it has been absolutely freezing since January. double digits below zero freezing our asses off cold. But it completely warmed up into the forties (Ha! People in warmer climates are like "40?! WARM?" but it really was tshirt weather after January). I could see the grass in my yard and spent all day in the hot tub with a cool wind blowing around spring air. It was great. I also got to walk around downtown ptown and sit on the deck at my favorite coffee shop. I absoultely reveled in the warmth.
Its a pity that our power went out that night. would have been a perfect wrap up to a prefect day to curl up and watch a movie with candles and stuff. Well, we had the candles. But no heat at night in northern michigan is still really really cold.
It started snowing again yesterday. But its damn sticky snow because it's still warmer out. thats okay. i work at a ski resort so I probably shouldn't be so happy and excited for spring to be rolling around. The job market up here isn't so great up here to be finding one job much less a second one to make ends meet for the spring. Not that this winter has been great. Really really slow. sad face.
On top of it being kind of an icky day out, my ex is getting married this afternoon. I'm not jealous or whatnot, I really feel he deserves whats coming to him in the form of the prego 17 yr old he's hitching. I'm not really sure how I feel about it. Just kind of icky to realize that we dated for five years and not even being able to talk him into an apartment, less than a year after splitting, he's married and expecting with somebody. Like I said. He deserves her. And I deserve John!
Well, its payday! So even though its my only day off this week I get to go pick up my paycheck, and THAT is a good pick me up.
