Boring times in the L-town. Was gonna go out last Friday, that was negated (and in retrospect, I am thankful). Saturday was a lot of partying - the boy had an early show, then I went and helped a friend with some Spanish homework, then made the bad decision to drive to a party about 20 miles away on a farm which was busted by the cops no less than 3 times before it was finally shut down for good. I think we would've been okay, had some fucknuts not been so stupid as to PARK ON THE FRIGGING GRAVEL ROAD. And in the lane leading up to the partyhouse, someone had parked so that it was really hard for people to get out. Lucky me, this was close to my car so one of my back panels is kinda scraped up. Really, it was just someone's plastic bumper so it'll mostly wipe off but I really don't care. Sunday was spent working (the reason the Saturday night party was a bad idea is cause I had to work at 5:45 am) and then... I don't remember what else I did. Probably nothing.
Monday was work, Tuesday was supposed to be work but it was a craptacular day. In chronological order, I found out that I was silly and forgot to put a stamp on my rent check's envelope so I incurred a nasty letter (these people don't fuck around!) about paying my rent and a $25 late fee, my car had a flat tire, one of my cats may need to go to the vet for worms or anal sac fun, and my grandfather was put into a nursing home. Yep, Tuesday was FREAKIN AWESOME. And by freakin awesome, I mean, not at all. Thankfully the tire just had a screw in it so it could be plugged for $8, but the tread is nearly worn through - they should've been replaced last year but they were always on my 'I'll pay for it in the summer' list and they would've been taken care of, if it weren't for that silly root canal or wisdom teeth removal or car repair or computer replacement. bah.
In any case, I went to bisonwitches as usual. We were only out for about an hour but I had more beer than I should've, then went home and had even more. It was pretty much awesome. Except now that I'm working in the mornings again, it's really hard for me to sleep in even if I'm completely exhausted. The past 3 days I haven't slept past 10. Lame, I know.
Yesterday was more working (I picked up 6 hours for the abovementioned homework-helped friend) and today is my first day off in about 2 weeks, no joke, with the exception of my un-day-off on Tuesday. I picked up more hours on Friday for a different friend. Saturday is a problem because I was scheduled at the exact time I need off to go to the concert (as was my friend Andrea). I was going to call in a favor from Tiffany but Andrea got to her first. But we have a conundrum as I have already paid for my ticket, my boyfriend paid for his ticket, and I am otherwise prepared to go (even though I have to work at 5:45 again, it's only for a few hours and I can do that easily on 2 hours of sleep. Wouldn't be the first time.) Andrea has not purchased her ticket, nor has her boyfriend, and I'm pretty sure the show will be sold out by the end of today. We're also getting help from the site in Montreal since we're so busy, and her boyfriend is friends with them. (Andrea and her boyfriend and I all work at the same place; so he's met people who've come over from Montreal before.) Saturday night is the last night that the MTL people will be in town, so Andrea's boy wants to party with them. So Andrea might go to that, or she might go to the show on her own. In any case, we gotta get this worked out by tonight so I can find someone else to cover for me if Tiffany can't, cause I'm not gonna say 'Well screw over Andrea for me' cause that's not the way I roll, yo.
Besides that, just work work work work work. And lots of hanging out with the boy at his request, not mine. We're getting to freaky levels of domesticity - when I bring over my laundry to be done, I throw some of his in there as well. He gave me the okay to throw away trash that's just laying around. (That might be silly but I've heard complaints from boys before about their girls showing up and starting to clean up and move things around as an attack on their manhood/taking over the place and I don't like imposing.) I randomly take books and things from his house, he wandered off with my DS yesterday, and for once I don't mind. I'm normally terribly territorial about my things, but it doesn't bother me when he borrows things or I leave them at his place. In any case, tonight will mark night #3 in a row that we're together and tonight it wasn't a 'I'll call you when I get off work and we'll see if you wanna hang out', it was a 'tonight I'll call you when I get off work and we can finish Blade Runner and be frustrated that you have a pap tomorrow so we can't have sex'.
Tomorrow I might end up driving to Omaha for a high school friend's birthday. I haven't seen her since my freshman year of college, and we were never supergreat friends to begin with and there might be people there that I don't particularly care for, but I think it'd be a fun time. But that would mean either driving back in the middle of the night on Saturday 'morning', or crashing there and then driving back during the day, cause I don't want to drive to the show. So I don't know. Plus, I'm paranoid about the tire thing again. Hmmmm.
In any case, I have more kanji to practice (I leave in 6 weeks, dun dun dun) and dishes to wash and clean clothes to put away so I'm going to make myself domestic now. I really should post more often so I don't get these super long novels going on, yeesh.
