I have spent the last 3 days of my life doing nothing but drinking, smoking, eating junk and Chinese food, and watching movies with my boyfriend. And, you know.. that other thing that boys and girls do together. Teehee.
It's pretty much the greatest thing ever. I like to party, sure, but deep down I'm a stay-at-home kinda girl.
Visited the revamped State Theatre down on O street. It's neat! You get to watch second run movies for cheap ($4 regular table seating, $5 for couch seating) and drink alcohol and eat pizza while you're in there. Unfortunately, as it just opened on Saturday, some tweaking definitely needs to be done. We went to see 300. The movie stopped twice, which I can forgive as the print was obviously kind of old and as my ex worked in a movie theater, I learned all the ins and outs of projectors and all that. The food and drink prices need a little tweaking - $5 for a mixed drink, okay. But $4.25 for a bottle of beer or slice of pizza? No. The couch seating is very nice - you can cuddle up next to (or in my case, practically lay on) your person of choice and you don't have any stupid chair arms in the way. However, it looks like they essentially went out to thrift stores or found cheap mismatched furniture on sale which is, I'm pretty sure, exactly what they did. I personally don't care cause nothing of mine matches, nor do I much care, but I think it would look more professional if it did. Also, I think that at some point there will be the problem of humping on the couches. I mean, seriously - it's dark, you're drinking, on a couch, probably with your boyfriend or girlfriend. To me, that usually signals it's time to get to playin.
In all seriousness though, once they get things tweaked and figured out, I'm sure Davin and I will be regulars there. He wants to see Grindhouse (the other show they're playing, but they only have it for this week), preferably tonight, so it seems like we'll be going back soon. So I would definitely recommend you people in the area to go, although right now they haven't figured out a viable 'how do we stop 15 year olds from coming in and drinking' policy, so it's 21+ or with your parent.
So that's about it. I get my wisdom teeth out next week - THANK JEBUS. I'm so tired of them hurting, or biting down funky on things, and just generally being nothing more than an irritation. Once I get them out, I also think it'll help some miiiinor minor crowding on the bottom jaw (I've had braces, but my wisdom teeth came more or less fully through and though we pulled teeth to make room for them, it's still a tight fit) which makes me happy. The week after that I have some more friends getting married. I do not like this summer for weddings because I know of at least 6 couples getting married and I only approve of 2 of those marriages, neutral on the third. The other 3 - no. One is because I don't approve of marrying your first and only girlfriend/boyfriend, one is because I think her fiance is a disgusting prick, and one is because I don't agree with meeting someone on the internet, meeting a handful of times, and then marrying within a few months so that she can get a green card. (She's originally from Canada.) But I will still wish the best for everyone, I guess, cause I don't wish horrible things on people. Unless you're one of the three people I hate the most in the universe, and none of them would be on SG. So. I'm safe. I hope.

Wish I were you! (Except for the smoking thing)
