Lappy arrived today. Yay! It's so shiny and quiet! Unfortunately I have a growing hatred of vista and I've only used it for one day. I hate the way I have to confirm about 6 times that yes, I do want to install javascript, or flash, or adobe, or any of a million useful programs. Plus, it just told me I didn't have permission to download onto my desktop. Um, excuse me microsoft, this is my computer now and I can put my fucking applications wherever the hell I want.
Ahem. Assholes.
Anyway, mostly just bumming around the apartment. Logging lots of hours watching The Office (though watching it in 2-3 hour spurts is kind of obnoxious. I get frustrated watching the whole situation between Jim and Pam BECAUSE THEY TOTALLY ARE IN LOVE WITH EACH OTHER BUT IT KEEPS NOT QUITE WORKING OUT and I can relate. And watching that much of Michael just grates my nerves) and playing video games. And petting my cats. I like living on my own and all, but really, spending 12 hours a day by myself is really kind of boring and lonely. I'd much rather be with Davin.
Unfortunately, he has a friend getting married this weekend so that means lots of pre-wedding things are going on. I think he has a friend from Germany in town tonight, which may disrupt our usual Tuesday night shenanigans at bisonwitches. Not that it matters too much since I'm going out anyway, but it's been kinda hard for me to sleep on my own recently.
I don't know what's going on for the next few days, but the weekend is all pre-wedding stuff (bachelor party, rehearsal, and all that) so I'll have to entertain myself some more. The actual wedding is on Sunday and I have a minor conundrum because I'm not sure how many people I know will be there besides Davin. I've met Pete and Audrey before, because Davin and I partied at their place the first night we went out together as a semi-date... thing. But that was in December, I was really tired and pretty drunk so I pretty much passed out within a half hour. 
This lack of people-knowing wouldn't be a problem, but Davin's going to be in the actual wedding thanks to his musical talents, which leaves me hanging out by myself before the ceremony. So uh.. not sure what I'm gonna do. But I'm gonna fix up a dress I bought for $5 (it's a cute little black thing with flowers on it, but it's got this gigant-o boob pad that just does not suit me, and the chest area is a bit on the big side for me anyway as I bought it at a thrift store) and wear that. I just hope my ridiculous rugburn from last week finally heals up enough that I can not wear those huge band-aids on it. Or maybe I should wear a band-aid anyway cause it's really kind of gross. Hmm.
In any case, it's time to get ready for pint night so off I go.
