Ugh. This week has been a very good week to me so far except I have this awful cold that made me lose my voice intermittently. Now it's moved into my sinuses and I'm all sorts of icky. I finally broke down and took some dayquil today, but it has dextro-whatever, better known as the drug in cold medicine that gets you high. Sometimes I can take cold medicine and be fine, but sometimes it makes me a little loopy. I guess that's what I get for being a twig. It really freaked me out the first time (I couldn't take these pills for the longest time cause they're so damn huge and get stuck in my throat) when I went to class and was talking more like I was on coke or meth. It was no good. But now I know what it feels like and how to deal properly. So that's good.
In other good news, got lots of end-of-year parties and shenanigans going on. Tuesday was my usual stint at bisonwitches, last night was the usual stint at BW3s. Friday my friends are having a housewarming party where you have to wear all black. For once, a costume party that I don't need to buy anything extra for. (I would estimate that 75% of my wardrobe consists of black. What can I say, I embrace my inner goth.) Saturday is a friend-of-a-friend's birthday party, but I hear there will be a keg. Awesome. Unfortunately my boyfriend is going back to his hometown to play a blues show (which I don't particularly care for) so I won't see him all weekend, but it's no big deal. We can still be separate people, whooooa no!
The other two awesome things in my life are that one, I'm signing the lease to my new apartment today. I'm very excited about this as my roommate/ex-boyfriend is getting a new girlfriend and I want them to be able to bone without fear of freaking me out. And me, I want to have MY boyfriend be able to come over to my place. Although there really isn't much to do since I don't have cable or anything. Hmm. But I do have cats.
The other other thing is that I found out I got a $1000 scholarship to go to Japan. I'm going in the fall and the trip will cost me about $10 grand all told, so that's a month of working that I don't have to do. Yay!
So now I'm off to blow my nose (again) and head over to the leasing agency to get my stuff set up. I'm happy about this week. Only a few more weeks left in the semester and and I am soooo ready for the summer.
