Sometimes my job really sucks. Today I ended up staying well over half an hour late, which made it impossible for me to shower (which I really needed) so I ended up skipping class. I honestly think I skip class more due to work than drinking, being generally tired, or being too busy having sex, combined. It's ridiculous.
I live with my two cats, and today one of them is being the most obnoxious little shit since she was a few months old. She decided to climb the balcony door screen (which is no good considering we told the apartment complex we're renting from that we declawed them - which I refuse to do on the grounds that it's mutilation and I will not do that to someone I love, human or not). Now she's trying to pry up a plug from underneath a book. Now she's pawing at the book and sitting on it. Looks like she's going to make a leap to sit on top of the tv. And to think, children are 20x worse than these little brats. Ugh.
Went out this past weekend and had myself a really good time. On Friday I helped a friend celebrate his 21st. I ran into another friend helping her friend celebrate her 21st. I ended up getting a lot of free drinks (including the local 'elk creek water' which is everclear and orange juice, maybe some other stuff - all I know is that it gets you fucked up). My group bought 2 pitchers of it, her group bought 4. We ended up getting kicked out of the last bar of the evening cause birthday boy could barely stand. I was planning to drive but since that obviously wasn't working out, I made the smart choice and called my boyfriend to pick me up.
Saturday, I worked a bit and then went to a private house show. The joys of knowing people who know people, right? It was a couple local ska bands. I rocked out hard to the first one, but it was really hot downstairs and I was drinking way too fast. As a result, I went upstairs and hung out on the porch with the smokers and ended up staying up there til we left. I meant to go watch the other band (since that's the one that my friends are in, go figure) but I knew if I went back down there, I'd end up throwing up all over their nice carpet. So I declined. I ended up staying up ridiculously late (a theme for the weekend) even though I had to work the next morning, but it was worth it.
Yesterday consisted of string cheese, dynasty warriors, boyfriend meeting mom at the mall, taunting my sister (she bought a prom clearance dress for $15. It was supercute. The only other one left happened to be in my size so I tried it on. It looked great but there's nothing I would wear it to, and besides, I bought a $5 dress at good will the other day anyway) and eating leftover chinese food. Overall, a good weekend. Except for the fact that I got absolutely nothing even remotely resembling useful done.
Today I'm mostly bumming since I'm not in class. I have a chunk of homework that needs to be finished, not to mention all this laundry. I'm moving out of this place relatively soon (mid-April or May, we'll see) so I gotta start cleaning and packing. I still live with my exboyfriend, you see, and at this point we're two people who occasionally sleep in the same apartment, but mostly just make messes and leave them lying around for days at a time. And it's irritating. So we're ready to be done. It's just a matter of getting the dollars and getting the leases signed and all that. I hate paperwork, but this is for a good cause.

Yeah, I'm just moving around in Lincoln. Right now I live way south, and it's a 20 minute drive to campus (and all my friends who live on/near campus) and a 10-15 minute drive to work. Where I plan to live is a much cheaper, much shittier apartment, but it's only 5 minutes from everything and I don't have to deal with roommate stuff. I'm mostly just waiting on my current roomie to give me the $200 he owes me, and my tax return to come in.
