Hello world, it's been awhile. I basically checked out for awhile, unfortunately. Corporate 9-5 sitting at a desk working on graphics (i'm a graphic designer) has basically taken over my life. I officially spend about 50 hours a week working on graphics and designs and marketing materials and brochures, for someone else. For an entity that I didn't create and that basically allows me no...

It's been awhile since I've been too active on here, and been quite some time since I shot a set. Life has been kinda crazy lately. Got promoted at work to a position that I really love, but it's really taken away from my "me time" and from having any time to shoot and essentially run a small business. It'll probably be awhile before I...

PLAYBOY has officially announced that as of early next year they will no longer be publishing nude photos in their magazines. This comes following their decision last year to no longer publish nude photos or videos on their website. They are being quoted saying that internet porn has taken over and there is no longer a need for nude women to be posed in their...

@alykat and @grady31, I myself am a working professional photographer shooting equine sports with a rather wealthy elite crowd. ย Business was killer in 2007, dropped about half by 08. ย At first blamed it on economy but it blossomed out to all of the new technology and social media. ย I ย had customers at one time spending thousands for prints andbthen buying a tandom 25.00 print. ย The kids were more interested in crappy photos that they could post on FB NOW. ย The generation of buying and hanging a quality print on the wall is quickly passing. ย Hell, I'm guilty of the same. ย So this year ย I started offering web resolution images for about the same price of my 2nd lowest priced photo. ย Wow, that took off. ย Not only do I no longer have to spend lab fees and time to go to the post office but sales were up. ย Also this year I did see a resurgence in large print sales. ย I'm not into the porn thing but do love beautifully, artfully photographed women. ย The technology we love is also the monkey on our backs.

I believe you may be absolutely correct. I feel like lately, with so many alternatives to Playboy, (especially with 99% of them being on the internet), Playboy may no longer be perceived as influential as it was, and the subscriptions started to drop. Maybe even at some point they realized it was no longer profitable after all the payments to models and photographers? I'm curious about this. Nonetheless, I was very surprised to hear these news! ย

it's rare I share of a photo of me. especially such an unedited photo. blemishes still on my face. not perfect skin. and really its just way too close up. but this is me. all unedited and unperfectly perfect. camera in my hand (you can see it in the lenses). snapback on my head. hair so crazy I had to french braid it. I was

I suppose I've been feeling kind of in a creative rut lately. I shoot, and I'm happy with the results and the shots are great. but something is just missing. I don't want to just be like every other random out there with a camera. I love to shoot women, and capture their true beauty and give them this feeling of wonder. But i want...

I know that feeling all to well... I try to do other forms of art when I feel that way, usually sketching or writing (I suck at it but the challenge is nice)
