Profile pics are the only ones that need to be a certain pixel 175x235 I believe. The other pics though can be any size you want them to be as long as they are under 100k.
When you resize the pic for the profile check again that it is 175x235. When I was resizing mine it would jump back to either 176 or 234 and I wouldn't notice it. So make sure that they do actually change. If anything you can e-mail me the profile pic and I can resize it for you and e-mail it back to you. It's frustrating but you can get the hang of it!
