well i've changed my username
back in 1980, my father named a stray kitten he found Alvina, after the heroine in a DH Lawrence novel called Lost Girl. i loved that cat right up til her death in 2000. now i'm carrying on her name

i have a cold ... my son gave it to me he still has it too, and he's still pushing through teeth # 7 & 8 ... the nights have been really rough, but i've been feeling very creative

my sister and her dog are completey moved out. i miss them very much, but krykkytt is very happy emma's gone, and i don't think the other cat has noticed the dog's absence at all

mind you, now that her stuff is gone, i've been trying to pretty up a corner of her empty room to do a self shot set in ... it's not too bad, but i don't have a tripod ... i hope to get one very soon, but i may have to resort to duct taping the camera to surfaces and shooting like that

i'm quite pleased with how february's creative contest turned out! Lee and Rubix (and Shazzy as well) really deserved it - their set is amazing!!

as far as this month goes (for the self shot part), i'm very impressed with RachelSage, Leayona and Steller ... mind you, if Dot submits a set, we're all screwed!! lol, she's the master
