It's time for another episode of True Tales From Work!


This dramatic reading features me, a driver that my store borrows from another store on the weekends, and my roommate.


My roommate and I are chatting by the lockers when the driver saunters over.

Me - "Hey, are you done yet?"

Driver - "Nope."

Me - "Bother!"

Driver - "Bother what?"

Me - "....Bother.....you're not done yet."

Driver - "Huh?"

I fumble for a way to explain British turns of phrase.

Me - "Fuck, nevermind."

Roommate - "It's slang for 'that sucks'."

Driver - "Ohhhhh."

Driver walks away.
