Oh, and sitting next to me is my mother's boyfriend, Chris. He was to be found consulting a map every 10 minutes on Friday. Fortunately he roped his cousin (a Portland resident) into being our guide on Saturday and Sunday and was more than a little relieved to not look like such a flaming tourist.
