Hey look where I went on break!
I saw mushrooms. I don't think they were safe to eat. ^_^
I was trying to make my way to the bottom of this gully to find the stream that I could hear close by, but I ran out of time and places to step, so I turned around to head back up the hill, only to realize that I couldn't remember exactly where I'd come down it.
I finally spotted a fallen tree, which in this place was much like a raised walkway over the decomposed matter that covered the entire floor of the forest.
It was conveniently pointed in the direction that I needed to go, so I set off walking up it very carefully. About halfway up along its length it became covered with a patch of wild raspberry bushes. I tried to step over the majority of them and onto the next visible section of tree trunk, but misjudged my footing and fell off instead. Into the bushes. The very sharp bushes. Fortunately I only fell about 4' and the ground was extremely soft, but those damn bushes took their vengeance on my arm.
After making my way back to the base of the tree trunk I managed to successfully walk to its end and found myself in a recognizable spot from which I easily picked my way back up the hillside to my car.
So, no stream or safe mushrooms, but lots of forest detritus and dirt all over my work clothes. And a bunch of raspberry bush scratches. Totally worth it.
Oh yeah, I saw a double rainbow on...er.....Sunday?
Sorry about the power lines.
Trivia: I love wandering along streams. Around Lake Tahoe there are tons of freezing cold, perfectly clear streams strewn with boulders. My family used to vacation there every summer and I'd wander off, climbing up streams for miles and then sitting in the most perfect location I could find with a book until they caught up with me.

Say, I do NOT intend to be pesky at all, but I was just wondering if you were actually interested in pursuing the thing we were emailing about, or if you'd rather pass. Just trying to get me duckies in a row!
