I am a posting slacker.
I know it's been freakin' weeks, but I swear I've been at work far too often to write anything. Well, that's mostly true. The other reason why I've been so negligent is that I've started working out 5 or 6 times a week, before work. You don't know this, but I usually update and check all of my internet stuff before work, which means that instead of using my computer for the powers of.....uh.......information (for you, not me, silly) I've been using it for the powers of DDR visual output and music to accompany my muscle toning. In case you actually care about what I'm doing to achieve some vague approximation of muscle tone, my routine goes something like this:
-Roughly 300 kcal or 20 songs of DDR
-Upper ab crunches in sets of 50
-Lower ab curls in sets fo 50
-Oblique crunches in sets of whatever I can do before it hurts too badly
-Inner and outer thigh lifts until my legs won't lift anymore
-Bicep curls in sets of 10
-Tricep curls in sets of 20 (working both arms at once)
My major issue with exercise is that, in addition to usually boring me to death, I tend to lose motivation unless I can see physical results quickly. As I have quite a bit of flab hiding my targeted muscle groups at the moment there's no way in hell I'm going to see results for at least another 3 weeks. My super awesome innovative way to combat my lack of motivation is to keep a sort of journal of my progress. Every day I write down how many of each exercise I've done, how many calories I've burned, and whatever new things I've added to my regimen. By gradually increasing the amount of reps and exercises I do I am able to see concrete proof of my improvement, even if I have yet to see any sign of a 6-pack.
I've also been a total project slut, but you'll have to wait until I've taken a very cold shower to see pictures.
