Remember how I said I got "like, 25" DvDs? Yeah, apparently that was an understatement.
Count them. Seriously. Actually, I forgot to include the copy of Spaceballs that I got from my work party, so count them and add one. I also left the duplicate copies I got in San Diego, so add another...uh......three. Yeah, that's just the DvDs.
Speaking of things other than DvDs, I also got a box of goodies from _DictionaryGirl_.
She gave me a much-needed jewelry box with a matching picture frame cleverly disguised as a gift tag, a set of 3 shparkly candles (yes, I know I only took a picture of one), and 3 handmade bracelets. The yarn and needles over on the left are from other sources, but it would appear that someone intuitively knew about my recent obsession with Eunny's self-striping socks. The pinkish yarn that looks really soft is in fact so soft that I've spent at least an hour rubbing it all over my cheeks. I have no idea what I'm going to knit with it, as it's only one skein, so for now it will have to sit on my worktable and taunt me.
Unfortunately, my camera battery finally decided to crap out on me just as I was about to take another picture, so while it charges I'll just make a list of what else I got.
- Enormous hardwood cutting board and set of frighteningly sharp knives.
- Full set of gorgeous teal towels that surprisingly do not clash with my buttery bathroom.
-
-
-3 shirts. Black, of course. I'm not going to include the 4 shirts and pair of pants I bought or the pair of delicious lace-up boots my mom gave me because they hurt her back.
-
-And two wireless dance pads with which to play it.
-A VEG adaptor box thing so that I can actually use my PS2 with my computer monitor.
-These in a deep fuschia.
-A ridiculous amount of snacky food, none of it from the Asian market.
-SimCity 3000
-4 candles. They smell good. ^_^
-Mmmmm panties.
-Stitch markers that open. That means nothing to you, but when you've been using small bits of drinking straws and whatever random earrings are in your car to mark your stitches it's a pretty damn useful gift.
-3 pairs of chopsticks that are far too lovely to keep in my kitchen drawer. They have been redesignated as hair accessories.
-A large assortment of pens, including a 15 mm permanent marker. I seriously don't need that many pens, but hey, whatever. I'm sure they'll get used eventually.
-Post-it notes, which I actually did need.
That's what I can remember right now. There were some other little stocking stuffers that I'm not going to bother listing individually. I'm also probably forgetting something, but I'll post it when/if I remember.
Now, of course there was more to my vacation than presents, but telling you about it won't be quite the same without pictures, so I'm going to hold off until my mother uploads whatever she shot. I'm sure there are some absolutely hideous pictures of me in there, which you may or may not get to see, but I'll be sure to share all the good ones.
Trivia: I love to sing, but only when I'm alone. If you're very lucky and I'm not self-conscious around you you may get to hear me sing along with something, but that's about it.
