So I haven't really posted much in a while so thought it was about time I sat down for a few minutes for a quick update. I found a design that I liked and took it too an artist that was recommended to me based on the style (Japanese) and because of their work in general. I won't ruin the final design by posting the image which I took too the artist but to cut a long story short he liked it but suggested a number of good ways to improve what I already like and I was impressed with (and agreed with) all his suggestions.
He is now creating me a custom back piece using the other one as inspiration for the elements but not in the actual design (if that makes sense). It basically boils down to a Samurai with a badass dragon coiled round it with the focus bits being the head, claws and some of the scales. I've not seen the final design yet as it's still being drawn up but I'm really excited to see what it looks like and then to get it started.
I've got the first session provisionally for early September being an all day session so that the outline can be finished in one go. He estimates somewhere between 30-40hrs to finish it so quite mammoth piece of work really but should look totally bad ass at the end of it!!
