How is it that I can be in a relationship with someone who loves me so completely, is the sweetest thing ever and who treats me like I'm the most precious pearl in existence and be so annoyed with him all the time? How can I feel so lukewarm? Does this definitively prove that I'm a hardened bitch? Aaargh. I wish that I had more reasonable expectations of those around me. I guess that I feel like I have no right having these expectations of anyone OTHER THAN my boyfriend. Perhaps I'm being unjust.
Hung out with the boy for pretty much the whole day. We watched this show that terrified me beyond measure: "Laguna Beach". It's the "real O.C." and all of the people on it are the most superficial, disgustingly idiotic beauty-queens. It's so repulsive, yet so hard to stop watching. It's like driving past a wreck that you just have to slow down and look at, or how you have to look if someone says "eew, don't look". gross. We went out on a double date with 2 of "our" friends. The boy goes to my boy's college and the girl goes to my college, so the boys automatically assume that we're best friends. They all went to grade/middle/high school together, but they don't really seem to be that great of friends. Anything that the girl said made the boy really irritated/embarassed or angry and he felt the need to say loud and ackward things about what she had just said. Example:
-girl: Ha-ha, and then there was all that drama. You (meaning my boy) weren't really involved in any of it, but boy were we! I guess that happens when you're in a class of 20. Ha, remember Claire? And the 8th grade graduation trip? ha-ha.
-boy (has been looking increasingly irritated): Damn it, how much more are you going to go on and on about Claire?!?!?!? I've told you that nothing ever happened between us!!!!!!!
and all this when Claire had only been mentioned the one time and this was an incident that occurred in middle school. It made it extremely ackward for us, until I blurted out, "Well, aren't you an Angry Dinner Person", to which the others started laughing, which I was relieved about, because I had thought that he might then direct his anger towards me. They decided that there must be a land to which you get sent as a punishment that's inhabited by "Angry Dinner People". he-he.
Went to see "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow", which sucked just as much this time as it did the first time I saw it. The other people I was with loved it and said that they acting was superb, but I was feeling unusually meek and decided to bite my tongue.
GOING HOME TOMORROW!!!!!!!
End Transmission
