Eat my hose.
I'm a little pissed this morning, I'd say for two main reasons.
First, Ames cops are stupid.
Second, my dog gets himself into trouble at night.
So I got off work a half hour early because we're all running into over time. Fair enough, right? Well all night it poured, not just a light constant rain but basically an on land hurricane. I thought it was righteous. The part that sucks though is the fact that it caused some MAJOR flooding. Basically every road between where I work (Lowe's in the southeast part of town) to my house (about a five minute ride straight north) was closed. I had to back track head south, go around the whole town and come back in from the west side, only to get stopped by a cop blocking a POTENTIAL flood area four streets from my house. The fuck head would not let any one through at all. So I had to back track again, head back south even farther out of town (at this point having passed Lowe's six times in search of a non blocked road) head onto another highway towards Minnesota got through a small town to the east and finally find the one non blocked back road to my house. If this keeps up getting to work will suck tonight.
To explain the dog thing. He has separation anxiety. Ashley is out of town for the week on vacation with her dad's family. So unfortunately the dog gets about 9 hours alone every night this week
. In order to prevent any damage to our stuff I took the time to move everything that could crash down from a dresser or get chewed up and moved it our of our room, this even included pictures on the wall and making sure the blinds were removed out of reach ( he has already ruined two sets the day we got him.) Well it turns out I missed about four things in the back of the night stand. Now three of the things are easily replaced and wouldn't be missed at all. But the thing he chose to chew up, the only thing he chose, was the 200+ dollar GPS watch/ tracker that AShley has for running and hikes and stuff. And it's not like he just chewed it up a bit so it doesn't look pretty, no, oh no. HE TORE THAT FUCKER UP! Needless to say, I'm a touch put off right now. He has chew toys, lots of them, that he likes too. But he's still new to the house, he was a stray, and he's the most lovable pup in the world. So after walking him, we made up. He's a good dog again.
Anyways, Sorry to rant and such, I think I'm going to go try and read so I don't go punch a cop in the mouth. Those fuckers don't have an excuse.
Maybe I'll go get a big bag of crabs.... Yeah, if only.
