Hahahaha today was such a disaster. I went to work out and after 2 weeks of not going to the gym I felt really slow and inefficient. Then I went with my cousin to see the Alexisonfire / Cancer Bats / Every Time I Die show 'cause my sister got me on the guest list so I could drop off a T-shirt for one of the guys in Cancer Bats. So I got this mission to give him the shirt, scope out the guy, and report back to her. I accomplished the mission, but everything else kind of went to the side...
I had guest spot +1 so I took one of my friends from undergrad. Anyway, I forgot the shirt at home, so had to go back and get it. Then I forgot it in the car, so had to get out of line to get it again. So by the time we got back I was like, "uggggh I don't wanna wait in line" 'cause it was full of 12 year old kids and fashioncore scenesters. As a result, we went to the Black Lounge to have a pint of Rickard's Red and wait out the line. Except we ended up hanging out there for so long I missed the Cancer Bats set!
I didn't even really want to see Every Time I Die or Alexisonfire so that was a bummer. But I spent the rest of the night listening to that garbage-core music anyway so I could give my cousin a ride home after. All in all it wasn't a bad night. I had a good time with my friends rehashing the old undergrad days... sleeping in a tent outside to protest tuition even though we didn't care about tuition, going to see Three Inches of Blood, eating fish and chips at Captain's... yeah. And making fun of all the kids in the scene these days... man big shows are such a turn-off.
OK. I'm going to go try out Stubbs the Zombie and then I'm going to sleep.
