So this part is going to be freaking long. So if you are not into a good banter skip this and go to part 2 ^^
Ok so I've been thinking about this today after a classmate of mine said "You are always teasing people at your age that is so childish!" I'm not going to that I'm older than her thing she have no idea what life is blah blah blah but what got me thinking is why do people think like that?
Is there really a set of actions that goes according to your age and what you should do? Adults called childish and kids wanting to be older are called posers? Don't miss understand me I'm not talking about appropriate and inappropriate behavior as they apply to people of all ages, cause I really don't have to tell you that it isn't nice to hit someone and you might seem like an asshole. But what I'm talking about is "to act your age"
It has got me thinking why people think like that, I understand it is a way for us to blend in into society but has society been drilling it into the brains of generations that they work like robots now? If that is the case isn't it similar to "to act your gender" As society "mandates" girls are ment to take care of the family, do the laundry, to stay in the kitchen while men are to "MAN" up, not to join the theatre unless you want to be deemed "pretty", not to cry.
Is this the reason why some many people, including me, are not able to blend in with society's expectation and be outcasted as "the weird kid" which during then I couldn't fathom why. It's this social norm that been taught to children at such a young age that they grow up learning that "If I'm doing what the majority are doing, it's right and those who are different from us are wrong and are to be scrutinized." It is this insecurity that has been the cause of bullying and psychological harm to many kids even adults.
Everyone have been growing up with this insecurity and that they have "created" a safe bubble by following this thing of normalcy sadly those closed minded people, they are not willing to step out of this "subconscious bubble", be looked down upon by society, which results in not wanting to open their minds and walking in their shoes of others although there are some who are willing to pop this bubble and view the world on the other side of the cage only than do they know who is the one behind the bars of judgement and prejudice.
Which brings me back to the topic, is there really a set of actions that we have to follow as you age? Or isit more towards the matter of appropriateness to your actions no matter what your age? Are we really that bounded to societal boundaries? I would live to hear your opinion :D
PART 2
So now that's off the list haha So I haven't had any blogs up this few days cause I'm busy helping around the house getting stuff ready for the lunar new year. So every lunar new year there is this major spring cleanings a it is believed that it is able to bring in Prosperity Luck and Fortune (PLF)to the household. It is an excuse to go shopping as well cause new clothes are believed give the person PLF as well, it's a out with the old in with the new kind of thing and no we don't throw our old clothes away lol.
So back to spring cleaning, so I have my clothes bought and stuff and I have new bed sheets too! ^^ got while shopping for furniture with my cousins in my mom's side aren't really that comfy yet but I don't think they'll take long to get used to. If you see the bolster and the big ass orange pillow, yes I'm a sucker for cuddling :P
Don't really need them to sleep but it does feels way better haha
And I found a shiny armadillo in a jar ^^
Sadly I'm to throw these babies away and yes they are empty.
I used to keep the empty ones when I was a bartender the counters were short enough for me if you are wondering lol. I guess I need a bigger change around the place time to find something to fill the shelves with ^^ and that is part of my book collection but these are just my favorite of favorite books here haha :D Aaaaaand...... New hair cut!
