I just got the new Shins album "Wincing the Night Away".
A few listens later and I'll let you know what I think.

Shins
Edit:

I have been trying to keep the image of Natalie Portman out of my head. That silly almost confused look she gives to Zach Braff as she hands him her headphones. With all satire aside, The more mature shins continue on their way to rock stardom. "Wincing the Night Away" may not be filled with the hooks and sweet sounds that made us love "Chutes too Narrow" but instead shows us that Lead singer James Mercer is more capable then we thought. Bringing us songs like "phantom Limb" the hauntingly beautiful chorus is nothing more then Oooh's and Ahhh's. and "Girl Sailor" with its 60's guitar strumming reminds us of a simpler time. the rercord itself will have a total of 11 new songs all worth the listen. Its not about who can be the loudest, or who can shock, or scare. It is all about the simplicity. The shins have cemented their name with this record. On january 23rd, shell out the $14 to Sub-Pop and pick this one up!

You are the best for sharing. Come drive out! We'll sit around listening to indie music that may make Scopitone cry, while building awesome nerd decks for epic nerd battles. Yeah!
