Friday I went to the The War and Peace Show and almost got heat stroke! shocked It's an interesting show where you get to see a lot of vintage (and not so vintage) military equipment...including tanks! You also get to see reenactors...sometimes it's pretty silly but they seem to enjoy themselves.

Sunday I went to the Farnborough Airshow. The highlight for me was seeing the Airbus A380....man that thing is huge!!....although, I have to say that it looks kind of homely... wink biggrin

I thought about making the exact same point in the piece (about how posting is free), but then I thought the better of it. Thought it miight be a bit like pouring salt in the paper's wounds, since they've pretty much lost their entire classifieds business to craigslist!

I envy your six-month sabbatical, but I'm guessing you won't be out of work long.

Wow, that show sounds awesome. It reminds me of this park in Kiev that's got all these old-skool tanks and weapons just sitting out there underneath the Motherland statue.
