I've been down for the past two months man, you know this more than anyone! Jeez! ha ha
I've been a goddamned hermit and lost 14 pounds in the process due to no eating, but once a day. I just didn't want to. My stomach would growl, but I didn't feel the need to eat anything, but dinner. lol
Yeah thinking gets me into trouble. This summer has SUCKED!!!!
I drank heavily for the last time (don't drink all the time nor do I drink heavily when I drink) at a freak sideshow thing with Dark Princess, Xcdat, and Gogobongo back in June on the 16. That turned out crap cause I didn't eat enough sadly and got an upset tummy. Luckily all my helpings of friends in the past paid off and DP and Xcdat helped me out kindly. Thanks guys, Love you for that!
Good times that night seeing all the sideshow people doing all crazy stuff and the Lizard guy with the split tongue and the Half man. Wow, craziness! Suspension acts rule too! Loved seeing a guy bleed from the Half man Joey hanging off him. I gave Joey a hug before we left. They were all so nice.
So two months no drinking. Smoke the pot every few weeks, but mainly due to no monies really and no want also. My spirit is just dead for the most part, but slowly gaining back.
School is going well, tests start next week and so far things have gone well.
I really want my weight traning class to help this time with gaining weight back. Just need to get to 135 again.
Concerts this summer were Slayer in June with my friend Eric. Already spoke of that, was in the pit for that. Busted lip, bruised all over, sore neck/shoulders, and body ached for days. Good fucked concert of course.
Then Korn, Deftones, and Stone Sour with Dark Princess and Xcdat in August. OMFG BADASS! I missed Fly Leaf which sucked and because dumbass Smirnoff ran out of wristbands for the pit I ran from the frontgate to the entrance like 7 times which is a distance of 200 yards. So that equals to oh about 2800 yards maybe?
Anywho I was pissed, tired, and even more upset that I saw my friend Allison who I didn't recognize at the frontgate when trying to persuade the staff to mark my pit ticket, etc. from when I was 16 (23 now) and never saw again later on that night. So that really sucks! I miss her and we met at a bandcamp years ago and were close friends somewhat that tried to keep in touch, but didn't since we grew up. Metal heads/stoners and such.
Anywho finally got in to the concert by a nice old little black woman working the entrance to the arena part who led me in after my many runs back and forth. I thanked her and the "Pit Bouncer" guy after Stone Sour.
Stone Sour FUCKEN ROCKED! I should have tried to push up to get close, but I was too mad and tired by that point so I just enjoyed the show and *sighs* Corey Taylor. He is an amazing performer and is gorgeous. I'm not into the whole "the singer is so fucken hot, man I want him," aspect of bands like alot of girls are. I can't stand that bullshit. A band is not good based on how a guy looks. A band is good on how the band performs, etc. I find Corey Taylor attractive due to his voice, lyrical talent, how he holds himself while performing, and his mind. He is a brilliant artist and there are not that many who are actually intelligent and decent human beings.
I got his autograph back in 99 and Micks also when they first started out at Smirnoff and that is when I first heard Slipknot never even hearing of them in the first place and they blew me the Fuck away. What made me smile was this dude riding around on a skateboard the whole concert. He wasn't just any dude he was a little dude and I'm saying little dude cause he was a little person as in midget. He had no legs though and I don't know why, maybe ampuation due to complications, who knows. But Corey Taylor heard him say, "Hey Guys, guys!." And Corey said, "Yo dude, hey bring him up!," and they brought that little dude up to the booth they were signing autogrphs in. I thought that was so fucken cool. I've read interviews, and heard interviews of the band and Corey Taylor. I know they are genuinie guys from Iowa. No big heads, etc. on these guys.
Deftones were pretty good, not what I expected, but good to headbang to and shit. I don't know all of their albums so i didn't get into all of their music too much. I love their sound though so I enjoyed them for the most part. The bassist is brilliant and the guitarist fucken rocks.
Korn has this new line up of people all around dressed up in different masks. They are set up with different things like drums and I really can't remember. I just remember their masks of being rabbits, monkeys, and other odd stuff. A pig perhaps? It was weird! I'm trying to think if they were playing guitars too or not. I don't think anyone played bass also. That would just be dumb due to Fieldy already being there. Munky is there and Head is gone so they would need someone else, I think I saw someone else. I paid too much attention to Dave, Jonathon, Munky, and Fieldy and the screen occasionly looking at the weird costumed guys. LMAO
Anywho they played all the singles pretty much and songs you would normally know. Self titled album, Follow the Leader, their newer albums also since I didn't know some songs, and their two newest ones Twisted Transister and Coming Undone.
I got pretty close to the front for Korn cause I wanted to see as much as possible for everything which paid off.
I was in front of Munky the whole time since I love his style, I wanted to see how he played, etc.
He woud come up close to us and we would scream. It was great! At the end he threw picks at us and one fell close to my feet and I snagged that bitch up! I should take pictures of it. Its pretty cool looking. Has Korn on one side and a weird baby doll head on the other. So I have a token of one of my first bands to ever listen to which is pretty fucken cool. I was so excited about it! Never caught anything before at a concert.
