So I need some advice.
I heard from my new partner at my new post yesterday that a high school girl was abused by her high school girlfriend a few weeks ago. Yes, I said girlfriend so she is either gay or bi-sexual. Who knows how long the abuse has been going on for. If this happened in public then probably for awhile.
All I know is the girl was slapped so hard she fell to the ground hard crying. She walked away and said nothing to either crossing guard. My partner saw her yesterday and hasn't seen her since this incident with her girlfriend.
My predictment: Do I say get help to the girl, say no to the girlfriend, go to the school, say nothing?
She is too young to be hit and her girlfriend is too young to be beating up someone else.
I know for a fact women and men who beat up others in public among other places to show power in the relationship.
And yes the next day they were holding hands and kissing like nothing happened.
My partner did nothing because it isn't a boy/girl relationship. He is a retired male cop so hes not with the times I guess? Seeing same sex relationships is different maybe. Abuse is still abuse, he should have reported a kid getting beat up by their girlfriend.
My mom says do nothing, but I feel helpless in knowing this girl could be getting hurt still.
So please help!
