Good Morning SG!
This is the first post I have made in a LONG time, and I'm excited to be back. I want to share with you some of the progress I've made with my apprenticeship. I have been loving this job, it has helped me open some creative outlets and positive healing for the last year of things that have brought my life to a drifting U-Turn. I am finally in a healthy place to be myself, express myself, and love myself.
Other than tattoos, as some of you know - I live on a small hobby farm. I adopted ducklings last year, which all turned out to be boys (this comes into play later). We also have 2 geese. Well, last week I adopted baby chickens! I picked out 6 adorable little girls, who are hybrid bred to produce eggs of all different colors. They are called Easter Eggers.
Onto the pictures!!
Stippled Scorpions:
This was one of my first "detailed" pieces. I had the honor of donning this on my coworker, starting our tattooing each other almost daily. I'm proud of this :]
Dancing Raptor:
This sexy little minx started as a joke, but my mentor loved it so much that he demanded it be put on his arm. Hell yes. I am excited as hell to finish this one up. The bottom half is from about a month ago, and the top half and color are the beginning of the month. Progress!! Huzzah!
Peony Pals:
Another fun tattoo I am doing for my coworker. This is my first larger-scale piece. I love love love doing color, so I'm pleased with how the first two flowers are healing. As they heal, the colors lighten and you can see the layers of opaques I brought into play.
Spooky Scooba:
Cute!! Ahhh, I love these little ghosties. I love to stipple these guys and make them pop a bit. Honestly, my favorite part is the pufferfish :)
It's All Good!:
This is a self-done tattoo that I started about a week ago. I still need to add some color and maybe some background. The spider also needs finishing. I love how this is turning out. I also need suggestions for coloring! That would be fun!
Friends Forever:I had the honor of donning these two tattoos on some of my closest friends. I was very happy with how straight my lines turned out on the molecule, I used a very small needle, this tattoo is about an inch and a half long! The bone tattoo is special to my friend as well, warding off negativity.
Doodling Me!:
I have picked up the habit of tattooing myself, and these are two I did two days ago~ I am having fun with this job if you can't tell!
Such a Distinguished Gentleman:
Many of you might know that I own duckies. I adopted them last year, around this time. In tribute to them, I have finished this masterpiece. Every time I look at this I laugh! This was finished yesterday. All of my ducks turned out to be boys, so naturally, this guy needed a dashing tophat.
So there are some of my favorite tattoos that I've done recently. This job has been such a wonderful creative outlet for me. The positivity I feel lately is wonderful. I have healed and become stronger from the events of the last year. I truly feel like things happen for a reason, and life is what we make it. Be the best human you can be! Do not forget to love yourself, and be proud of who you are. Never stop KNOWING you are wonderful and you matter.
Oh yeah! The best part :)
I just adopted 6 baby chickens! They're all the sweetest little girls, I picked them each out. Here are the babies, which I will need help naming!!!
Thank you for spending a little time diving into what I love. Let me know what you think!
Love you all! - Alloura
