I recently worked with a new photographer, one who boasted talent and years of experience. This last Saturday, I met with him and began to shoot a set. I thought the day went well and was excited to see that he was sending me pictures by the end of the day... That is until I noticed photoshop... If you know what I mean when I say, I NOTICED THE PHOTOSHOP - You should not be able to SEE an edit!!! Not only this, but he was insinuating that I was overweight and NEEDED these changes....
I let him know, that I never photoshop myself, never have, and never will. I model for body positivity, confidence, and for MYSELF. I had let him know this on the first meeting and during the shoot.... WELL. He continued on, that I need photoshop, he's "helping" me, and "no wonder you don't get many likes".
Sir, you have messed with the wrong BITCH.
Take a look at this:
Left is the original, besides the fact that he refused to un-edit my eyes. You can still see the marks.
Right is his "perfection" version.
The moral of the story is:
Stay true to yourself. Love yourself for who you are. Do not let ANYONE tell you how you should look, feel, or be. This is YOUR life, YOUR beauty, and YOUR choice!
