So, tell me how you would handle this. I log into my online banking page and see I'm like 120 bucks overdrawn. Reason being, Earthlink has charged for me an extra months service on accident. They simply double billed me. I tend to keep just enough in my bank account to cover my bills and that's it. So, that extra 50 bucks threw my account negative, which in turn bounced three tiny debit card purchases I had in the last few days. Each like 5 to 10 dollars. Each racking up a 32.00 overdraft charge.
I just hung up with Earthlink trying to square things away. They said they'd refund the 50 bucks and they said sorry. I tried to explain that their clerical error just cost me almost $100 in bad check fees, I've been subscribing with them for almost 2 years now, blah blah blah. She simply didn't care.
Is there anything a guy can legally do to recoup those expenses? There is still one more bad check fee that will come from the Earthlink bill as well. So, their grand total will come to 128.00 in bad check fees.
Suggestions? Anyone?
