Baseball playoffs start today, and I'm a bit nervous. My Yankees, of course, are defending champs, but the Phillies truly appear to be stacked this season... so, heading into the postseason, I'd have to say the guys from Philly are the favorites. Plus, the Yanks aren't exactly heading into the playoffs on a high note, and it looks like AJ Burnett's not getting a start (thank god). And, honestly, any of the other three AL teams could knock off the Yanks and it wouldn't be a shocker. Nervous, indeed.
I still have hope for a 28th World Championship. But, it's not going to be easy.
Edited on October 6: Roy Halladay is ridiculous. He's so good it's scary.

My prediction for the WS matchup is White Sox-Phillies, with the Sox winning in 7. That's my prediction and I'm sticking to it.
I usually don't believe that what happened in the past has much bearing on the present, but it looks like the Yanks have the Twins' number once again. Oh well. Texas - Yankees should be interesting.
