Well, it's that time again. Another appeal for residents of Indiana and North Carolina to please vote in Tuesday's primaries, and if you can, please vote for Sen. Obama (I can't remember if Tuesday's primaries are Democrats only or if any registered voter can cast a ballot). I've grown to support and admire him more in recent weeks even though he's had his problems during that time. I have nothing against Sen. Clinton per se, but I just don't appreciate the way she's constantly changing the rules every time something doesn't go her way (the caucus system isn't fair, she wants Michigan and Florida to count even though she agreed that they wouldn't count, only big states with lots of electoral votes should count, pledged delegates can vote however they want... yada yada yada). I mean, some of Sen. Obama's problems are by his own doing, but do you think Sen. Clinton would ever, could ever, offer the same kinds of substantive, thoughtful responses to her own troubles the way Sen. Obama has? He is a candidate who, against a rising tide of populist mumbo jumbo, has the courage to say no to the Gas Tax Holiday based on the fact that it's the same kind of political band-aid that candidates usually use to pander for votes. I applaud his guts. And, I hope you will too. Thanks.
