Guess I should post again, huh?
Job got really fucking boring this week. People gave me so much stuff to do last week, I apparently finished it all too fast, so this week has been spent waiting for stuff to do. Hateful, I tell ya. Eventually I started searching around the intertubes.
I'm teaching myself more advanced Excel functions.
I'm reading the Village Voice very thoroughly.
I'm learning all sorts of scary things Scientologists do to women, children, and families.
I'm looking at and reading about all the items in the Alexander McQueen exhibit at the Met that they put online.
I'm digging through the online server to read more about the company I'm working for.
But that was just Thursday and Friday. Don't remember the earlier part of the week much.
Exciting things though! I don't knwo this yet, but the plan is to start training me to join the research department to take the role of one of the research assistants when she leaves for Yale (at the point when the receptionist I'm filling in for is set to return, no less). That means I'll have a job not just in September, but in October! Probably shifting to full time status as well! Gee golly, that's swell!
Not that's I'm that crazy about this company, there are lots of places I'd prefer to work, but I sure love being employed at a company that runs better than my last one.
Meanwhile, I have a whole series of dirty stories to start writing soon, besides the new collaboration I'd like to start with Oxy.
That may have to wait though, as I should be studying my music. I'll be recording my friend's excellent cantata in a couple of weeks. I performed it live last year. If I had anyway of sharing it with all of you without sharing my name and other info, I would link you to parts of the performance as it kicked MAJOR ASS.
If you happen to know my name already, I'll happily send you links, cause it was bitchin.
EDIT: I wish I had SOME pictures to share with you.
Love to you...
