I am well.
Really I am exhausted and headed for more, but working on "Into the Woods" is such a dream come true that I can't mind. We heard our instrumental ensemble for the first time yesterday (most of them anyway) and hearing these themes more fully had me almost in tears. I love this music and I didn't realize how much.
The show is gonna be really special. My sister's costumes are exceptional (and you'd never know from looking how many bed sheets and tablecloths went into them to keep 25 costumes within a $300 budget (and this show needs ballgowns). My man has been killing himself working prosthetics and getting a cheapish flash pot to work like a really expensive flash pot. He's only blown himself up once in the process hooray!
I'm really proud of my work in it in this huge part, though I remain too much of a busybody in other people's business. Luckily, I;ve actually been able to redirect some of that energy into working on some props, helping paint the set, improving the bird puppet function.
True, it's only community theatre. But it's gonna be wonderful. We open Saturday. Just gotta survive till then,
Then I have to worry about wedding invitations again. Yay.
And how are you?
Love to you...
