Happy New Year all. Or, for those on different calendars, Happy Arbitrary Excuse for Debauchery.
Yup. Open bar. Too many drinks after too long of a day, so waaaay too tired for the long night, but I made it. Tons of cocktail shrimp (WIN). Watching bathroom door for the coke fiends. Growing resentful as the hubby gets so drunk I have to baby him. His friend flirts with me in front of his wife (his very cute wife, I might add). Must indicate that he's not the one I'd be so interested in, supposing I was even looking. Still flattering. With I had photos of my pretty dress.
Spent time with friends on New Year's Day. Great new tradition of Twilight Zone and eggs. On the way went over a pot hole I couldn't see which wrecked my right front rim and flattened my tired over the next 3/4 mile I had to drive. Hubby got back all his points by getting the sucker fixed and filled on New Year's Day when all garages were closed, and for $7 at that.
There haven't been a lot of signs for a great new year, but there never need to be. I get married this year. It'll be quite stressful; there's too much left to do and I doubt every decision made. I will tone myself back up, which will feel immensely satisfying. Money has me absolutely terrified. I really need to find better employment so that we can not only survive, but finally thrive. New employment will mean new field, so someone needs to take a chance on me. Someone. Please.
What are you looking forward to?
Love to you...
