I just lost this whole log, which sucks, so I shall attempt to recreate it.
An update, for those keeping track. Mostly good news, with a negative spin.
My company has almost definitely found a place to perform for November and December.
It's in Bed/Stuy, so it's means a truly sucky commute to work for me.
My computer definitely has a space for January through the end of the season. It's beautiful too.
That space is in Jamaica (Queens), so it manages to be an even suckier commute.
This is still much, MUCH better news for the company than where we were even two days ago.
Notions of this move make me wistful. Though I love my neighborhood, I really want to move back to Queens. All my friends live there, and bridge tolls eat up all my money. Most all my social occasions are there. Once we start having kids, the hubby and I are definitely moving back there since that's where his family is. I can't be close to my family, so I'll at least be closer to his.
But that isn't now, and we won't be moving to Queens for my job. My #1 is still the primary breadwinner. Nevermind that my commute home to Queens will be shorter than his potential commute from Queens to work.
So this means my job search will have to ramp up.
Meanwhile, my dead and stressed state does not seem to be hurting my rehearsal process. People seem impressed with my work, or at least pleased. I've definitely impressed myself so far, but there's a long way to go in the next three weeks.
With hopes, it'll be pretty fun, though I already know it'll be exhausting and stressful getting it there. We'll see what we can see!
Love to you...
