RANT:
I'm getting too old to earn the amount of money that I do for the amount of work that I do.
Correction: I'm getting to old to be earning this little when I haven't opted to sacrifice earnings for working my passion.
I need a new job.
I keep finding new things to do for this company, and the dollar I earn is worth less all the time. My fiance has to cover an overlarge portion of our bills because I make less than $25K to effectively run the theatrical arm of this woman's 40+ year old theatrical non-for-profit. I'm not even on the books as a salaried employee when I have been a full-time worker for over 2 years.
There's no more money to give me. I know it's not a lie. The company is run so poorly it's a minor miracle it hasn't run itself completely into the ground.
I need another job.
What I really need to do it quit and go get my masters in special ed, but that would require a year of student teaching plus coursework, and my baby pleads with me not to make us go a year on only his salary. There is no money, I have no savings, and my credit is shot to shit because I trusted someone to pay off a card and didn't find out they couldn't till almost of year of no payments. This makes getting loans for school a little less likely.
I can't be one of those people that just says what they want and goes for it, apparently. I seem to be waiting for fate to hand me a better deal.
Ok, rant over.
Auditions are done, now I have to finish writing the script for the show. Whee!
So what projects have been keeping you at night?
Love to you...
