Now Playing: Mogwai fear Satan - Mogwai
Now reading: An Unquiet Mind - Kay Jamison
Wow. That's about all I can say about the last few weeks. What a rush. The job is going as well as a new job possibly can. I love the people. I saw Danny Glover. I saw Jetta. I get to talk to other book people. It's perfect. Nothing but perfect.
This week alone I've read 4 books. I read the new Al Franken book, the new Michael Moore book, The Contortionist's handbook, and Bushwhacked. I have to say, read Al Franken. He's the worlds best liberal. He gets it. Michael Moore is entertaining, shocking, funny, but to much of an extremist for me. The Contortionist's Handbook is a great novel. Super dark ala Chuck Palahniuk. Super good. And Bushwhacked is as stale as I feared. Old white people bitching about Bush. It's a great read if you're curious about the most corupt US President to ever remain in office. But, it's just facts, figures, and propoganda. Very stale.
I've recently discovered mead. If you're in a local Irish or Scottish pub, and they have the spicy mead, try it. It's a great winter drink. mmmmmm
I think I'll finish Unquiet Mind before I sleep and on to that huge huge IRA book. I can't remember the author, but if you're interested in learnng about the root of the conflict and a day in the life of a Republican Irish family, a phenominal read. This is something almost everyone should read. Very informative.
For us pagan folk, it's All Hallow Eve. A very important holiday coming up with a nice mock celebration of an old Christian holiday called All Souls day. It's a day to remember the recently deceased and celebrate their life, while mourning. So, Rod Roddy of the Price is Right, and Elliott Smith, you're my boys this year.
Ok, I'm reading too much now because I'm being stale and all bookie book. Heart!!

I've read people mentioning mead twice today and have never heard of it before. Forgive the ignorance, but what kind of drink is it? Sounds like I'm missing out...
