am currently in the process of consecrating my iBook to Elegba. then it will be Toth, Odin, the Morrigan (its a blood kin thing), and one or two of the Sephiroth. if any one else knows a god of knowledge or paths whose rituals i should be following, please feel free to give me the details. though anything to obscure (ritual not god) is a bit rough... i'm having a hell of a time trying to catch pigeons and crows already.
anyway, i am fairly certain that the gods have been adapting with us... they're not stupid you know. Elegba is definately sitting at the center of the web, and i have gained some fascinating information from the new kami and loa of the net and electronics. remember, everything in nature has a soul and a spirit, and since man is a part of nature (no matter how often he forgets) anything he creates is a part of the natural order to.
i think that is one of the reasons i have always had such a problem with the new wiccans and neopagans. they seem to think, very often, that we need to cast aside the trappings of modern life, forgetting in the process that the city is a natural environment too. one with its own rules and rituals and spirits and totems. we are so quick to look at modernization and condemn it instead of seeing it as just another part of the natural order.
everything changes/evolves. even the gods.
especially the gods.
hope everyone is well. strange times. mars draws close in the waning cycle of the moon. it is Tlalocs season and the courts are held by the Seelie, but it is a dark time for both. Judgment and War are strong this season and the aspects reflect that. tonight i could't find the Rabbit Tlotchi in the moon, but instead a dark horse. Czernobog and the old Wolf stalk this night, and there is a scent of corruption in the air. be wary, keep silver and jade and cold iron close, and be polite to the strangers you meet.
you can never be certain who they may be after all.

What I specifically meant about 23, I didn't really elaborate, is that 23 is representative of a set of beliefs/theories. It's a shorthand, the way that 42 appeals to Douglas Adams fans. While it does occur randomly, most of the time it's inserted by people who want to show their understanding/awareness of these beliefs/ideas -- re-triggering the belief that the number occurs unnaturally often.
Does that make sense? It's lateand I am tired.
