talking to the trees again. there is a very pretty little oak out front of my favorite coffee shop in downtown Buffalo that everyone just ignores. it is an absolutely gorgeous specimen and its leaves have just come in and have that healthy verdant green color that never lasts longer then the first couple of weeks, you know, that waxy, rich green that all your summer memories of trees are in? trees have quite a lot to say, so don't ignore any of the pretty ones around you - buy them a cup of coffee and have a chat.
i think a capybara would make an excellent team mascot. i tried to get our high school mascot changed to one when i was still attending, but no one knew what when was. when i finally explained a capybara to them ("you see, its a giant two hundred pound carnivorous rodent thats mostly aquatic and found in south america") they couldn't possibly understand why i thought it would make such a great team mascot. like it needs an explanation?
still having no luck finding out what happens to swimmy little fishies. if anyone happens to know, or sees one floating about near a cafe (despite the spider's protests i think thats where they congregate - or at least thats been my experience), please let me know or ask it for me. thanks.
