today has been awesome.

not all day. the morning. the afternoon. right now.

but right at noon the husband and i had a family lunch and it was...awkward to say the least. it pissed my husband and i off and we needed to get out of the house.

so we did. if the husband hadn't spent all day yesterday throwing up from drinking too much friday night i may has suggested we hit a bar for a drink. as it was we needed to run some errands. so we did. i can't complain. i got some tank tops, a cardigan, an eyeliner i've been meaning to pick up forever. and i finally got my tragus pierced.

i have wanted to get my tragus pierced since i was in college. i graduated with my degree in business management in 2006. so it's been a long time.

it didn't hurt...but i have to say it was probably the most uncomfortable so far. the nipples i didn't even feel honestly, but this one had a few seconds of discomfort. and then? just a super cute little stud in my ear. and i'm happy.

when we got home we headed to the park to play some basketball. one on one. i am soooooooooooo much better with one on one in the bedroom...or shower...or wherever. but i did try. and i had fun. and i beat the husband at horse which was pretty sweet since i'm awful at all things sports related. but it was so fun to get out in some fresh air and just be together.

we've been hanging out, watching "knocked up" and screwing around online. and it's been the perfect end to a meh weekend. i'm not looking forward to this workweek. i do love my work...but i hate the place i do it. if that makes sense. and there's a mandatory staff meeting after work on tuesday...yay!

i'm trying to not freak out about things that are days away and just live in right now. and right now...i couldn't be happier.
