the holiday season is here, and i couldn't be more excited.
i've always loved the holidays. it's so hard for me NOT to get excited during the holidays. i am a total sucker for the decorations, for the glitz. and yes...for the commercialism. i love the "buy this" or "buy that" displays. when it comes time to celebrating, i'm able to separate commercial from what the season is about...but i love ambling around stores or downtown and just letting myself be taken over by the decorations and the holiday spirit.
this year i'll be celebrating the holidays with my husband. and his family. it'll be my first holiday season without a member of my family being anywhere near me...and of course that makes me sad...but i'm still beyond excited about getting to spend the holidays with an amazing man and his epic son who just happen to be my family now.
