This may seem like mumbo jumbo unless you have experienced any of these things.... just so you're not surprised if this seems.... vague or weird.
I've been having some yoga breakthroughs lately.
#1. is through focusing in strength, I am becoming more flexible. I am naturally more flexible than I am strong. Most people are skewed towards one or the other.
#2. I've overcome some of my fear/holding on with back bends. THese are the sort of feelings that you don't even know are there, until they pass, and you let them go, and go, holy crap, what was I holding on to that for?
#3 the happier I get about my body exactly how it is now the more present in my body I am, and the better my postures get.
#4 wouldn't it be great to get over the comparison/competitiveness thing once and for all?
I've been really focusing on the internal, rather than the external.

your dance teacher is SOOO right ~ things come into being at the right time/place for your body if you are open to it. i am learning that now. it is an amazing process ~ always something to learn when i work WITH rather than on or against. i would love to see you dance sometime ... i bet it is amazing.
