hmm. well, there's the end of another week of work for me. Not a bad shift until the last 20 minutes which involved trying to do incontinent care on a resident (that means patient wholives in the nursing home) with dementia who started freaking out and hitting us. I don't mind the hitting -- what bugs me is that this guy is in pain and can't express it and can't figure out why we're coming into his room to make him roll around ro we can take wet pads out from under him. Plus you're sort of in a bind-- you can't leave someone lying in piss. This is alao not someone who refuses care initially- this is someone who freaks out on you in the middle, when you can't safely leave them alone and come back later.
well, there's a cheerful thanksgiving week thought.
What else is new?
I bought myself a good new pair of running shoes so I can start jogging to try to improve my cardio/asthma issues. I sent my heart rate monitor back to polar so they could fix it. I love heart rate monitors.
I just put in for a whole slew of extra night shifts at work, so If I get them I'll be a super duper december insomniac.
my car is making a strange humming noise when in feels like it. i.e. when there are no witnesses.
I'm hoping this is a harmless, inexpensive humming noise.
right.
