Back home now. THe trip went like this:
Hostel: Dunno if I want to do that again. We had different roommates each night. THe guy from Utah was cool, the guys from Holland were annoying as fuck (turned off the airconditioner--twice, and woke me up by talking loudly). The Austrailians were okay b/c they thought I was very cool for being in Rocky. The room was cramped, and our floor smelled like wet dog (each floor smelled different) and we didnt get the free breakfast that was promised.
Rocky Con and Show: Not as big as I thought, but enjoyable. I met a lot of cool ppl. I was held hostage with a Nerf gun, and accousted by a very bouncy girl named Deja. The show was beautiful, with a large cast. It was very true to the movie. I prefer a much more open show, like the one we have. Still it wouldnt be very easy to do w/ all of those different ppl. THey had like, 5 sets of Eddies and Columbias for Hot Patootie. We got some great shots b/c we were on the isle that they used to come up and down. We were the only ones to use the 'Fucked by a forty foot ape' line, and the only ones to have any Kevin Smith references. It was funny though. We ended up behind Bowling Green while in line, and in front of Cleveland at the show. These are 2 of the 3 casts in Ohio that we have had contact with. It was pretty awsome.
Sight seeing: Saw John Lennon's Memorial in the park. Saw a quarter of the Metropolitan Museum. Walked around time square, went to ground zero, and saw CBGB's and the street named after Joey Ramone. I gave about 15 bucks to street performers, but I dont regret it. Next time I'll be more careful tho. Tried to go to Madame Tussude's but it was 30 bucks. Spent a lot of time walking and on the subway.
