Oh man this has been a sweet weekend.
The zine reading was a lof of fun, and I was glad to see D-Rok come out and enjoy it too. I recorded the reading with my nifty little audi recording, and it came turned out pretty well.
Then I wandered the Sandy Hill area for a few hours in an attempt to meetup with Sarah who was in town shortly. After much frustration, and yes even a little panic, I found her. Sweet times were had.
Then on monday, monday counts as the weekend for me since it was the first two days off in a row I have had for ages, I went to some BS Rogers training and slept through it. Always good times when your trainer doesn't know the material he is training you on.
I came home and got the Marathon and New Mexican Disaster Squad DVDs finished off. Then I slept until supper time.
The show was so much fun. Well Marathon and NMDS were at least, I could have lived without seeing The Heck. Sam from NMDS was really excited about the DVD and gave me the new vinyl in trade which I wasn't expecting. Aaron of Marathon was pretty happy about the dvd I gave him and he gave me a shirt and the new cd for cheap. I was stoked to see how excited they were.
Filming the sets went really well and I think it might be some of my favourite footage yet. I ended up at ESD with Ford, Marathon, and NMDS post show for poutine. Talking with americans about different cheeses they have access to back home is a suprosingly interesting conversation topic.
It turned out that some of the guys from NMDS and some from Marathon were crashing in Orleans so they gave me ride back so I could navigate for them.
Today I worked with our new guy. This new guy actually seems to be promising as someone useful, and for the love of god do we ever need someone useful.
I also got the confirmation that I am getting 10 days off in July, Toronto here I come!
